The state of nirvana from Jiang Debin
Jiang Debin - representative of the Chinese watercolor school, was born in 1963, in the town of Chongqing. He was fond of drawing since childhood, and continued his hobby at a professional level, graduating in 1987 from the South-Western Pedagogical University, namely, the Faculty of Oil Painting. In 1992, he opens his first studio in Zhuhai, where he begins to write his most famous series of works - "Lotus Flowers", dedicated to contemporary watercolor painting.
In China since ancient times, the lotus personified purity and chastity, fertility and productive power, this flower was always treated with great respect, it is this reverence and worship of the sacred flower that Mr. Jiang Debin tries to express in his works. Watercolors of the Chinese artist radiate calm and serenity, they can be watched for hours, completely dissolving into them.

Works of the master are made in the technique of modern watercolor painting, the flowers of the blossoming lotus, surrounded by a glowing halo, seem aliens from distant planets, there is something in them that is elusive fantastic and mysterious.
A distinctive feature of watercolors Jiang Debin is the unification of two elements, water and air into one, there are no clear boundaries between them, they complement each other, maintaining a common balance. Almost all watercolors are written in one muted color scheme, there is a feeling that if you combine all the canvases together, you will get a large pond with beautiful lotuses.
